The 4 F's of
Good Web Design
Through years of experience designing hundreds of web sites and cdroms, there are a handful of elements we feel make the strongest impression.
- Faces – You'll notice that much of our web design uses close-ups of people's faces. This creates immediate interest, friendliness and credibility and it helps distinguish our clients from the sea of websites that look generic and interchangeable.
- Focus – Too many websites suffer from clutter making it impossible to distinguish the key information from the subordinate. Each web page should have a focal point directing the user where to go next. Akin to this is creating white space that allows the key information to breathe.
- Flash – Our use of flash in our designs is tasteful and appropriate. It draws interest and livens up the page, but we always make sure it doesn't overpower the rest of the content.
- Fotography – Okay, so we cheated on the "F", but great photography is crucial to so many websites. If your company doesn't have great custom photography, stock photography is a great resource for vivid, professional images. Once we get the winning images, we go to work artfully cropping, enhancing and optimizing so the images reflect the brand of quality, professionalism and credibility appropriate for your company.
