Darshan Jain, Principal
Darshan Jain is a leading practitioner of activity-based management
(ABM) in the financial services sector and specializes in ABM principled
analytics and strategy formulation for organizations worldwide.
Darshan has over fifteen years of progressive business experience in the financial services and manufacturing industries and has worked extensively with senior management at Fortune 500 institutions in the strategic and tactical interpretation of operational metrics data arising from activity-based measurement. He has lead client engagements at MBNA America, CIBC, Bank of Ireland, ING Direct, Republic Bank (West Indies), Wilmington Trust, Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp., and Scotiabank among others.
Previously,
Darshan was Director of Consulting at Canadian Imperial Bank of
Commerce where he and his team leveraged activity-based costing
and product profitability data to more accurately measure business
performance and value creation within internal divisions. Earlier,
as Strategy Analyst at Nestle Canada, he employed unit time data
in the design of a new commissions program for fleet personnel.
Darshan holds a Master of Business Administration degree in International Finance from McGill University, a certificate in International Management from the Stockholm School of Economics, and a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto. Robb Sykes, Principal
Robb Sykes is a dynamic entrepreneurial executive who has driven strategic
change and innovative business solutions for organizations and internal
business units seeking solid financial and operational improvement.
Robb's professional background includes experience in banking, financial
services, packaged goods, and management consulting for a diverse set
of manufacturing, retail, entertainment and transportation clients.
As a Principal with Insight Analytics, Robb leads engagement teams that work with executive management of client organizations to solve pressing strategic or operational issues using Insight's advanced models and methodologies. His diverse background enables him to work effectively in areas of strategic design, marketing, finance, project leadership, operations, and business process improvement. Prior
to joining Insight Analytics, Robb was GM of Consumer Product Development
at Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce where he managed a $22 billion
retail products portfolio. While in this role, he spear-headed national
level strategic change initiatives, reversed a seven year market share
slide, changed foreign currency strategy, improved customer and employee
satisfaction ratings, all-the-while enhancing sustainable annual revenue
and profits.
Previously, Robb was a profitability consultant at CIBC where he lead efforts to harvest costs and generate new revenue streams for a number of internal business units including: mutual funds, retirement plans, fixed term products, deposit accounts, trust services, and retail lending products. Earlier, Robb had considerable success driving business development and improvement efforts for a number of organizations within the entertainment, manufacturing, retail distribution and packaged goods industries while an independent entrepreneur.
Robb holds a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Toronto in Accounting and Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce degree in Marketing and Entrepreneurial Studies from Ryerson University. He has also completed a variety of post-graduate studies in areas of Executive Leadership, M&A Financial Analysis, and Strategic Marketing.

Allen L. Stephens, Principal
As a Principal with Insight Analytics and Business Development Specialist
at the firm, Allen Stephens is responsible for evaluating new markets,
developing strategic alliances, and the management and capture of
new business.
Allen
brings over 25 years experience in managing Global Accounts. He has
held senior roles that focused on Business Development in a number
of industries including Banking, Chemical, Power Generation, Telecommunications
and Manufacturing. In these roles, he worked with "C" level
senior executives at several Fortune 500 organizations developing
strategic engagements and coordinating field activities around the
world. Some of the better known organizations Allen has worked with
include Duke Energy, First Union (now Wachovia), E.I. Dupont, G.E.,
Nortel Networks, Kodak, United States Postal Service, Veterans Administration,
Los Alamos National Laboratory, and American Airlines. Prior experience
includes positions at Digital Equipment Corporation, Ajilon LLC, Computer
Sciences Corporation and Northrop Grumman.

Hakim Aly, Senior Associate
Hakim is a Senior Associate with Insight Analytics and specializes
in the measurement and management of profitability, whether organizational,
line of business, product, customer or delivery channel.
Hakim
is a seasoned finance professional with extensive knowledge of, and
experience in, the financial services industry (banking, brokerage,
and investment management), complemented by several years' experience
as a management consultant. He has held senior finance positions at
TD Bank, CIBC, and Canada Trust where he developed functional expertise
in the areas of: business line, product, customer, and channel profitability;
customer life-time value and CRM; balanced scorecard and business
performance measurement; business case analysis including acquisitions
and divestitures; risk measurement/management and economic capital
attribution; activity-based costing/management; predictive modelling
and data mining; and internal transfer pricing models.
Over the past 20 years, Hakim has successfully managed a number of projects including: the design, development, testing, and implementation of management information systems in the areas of enterprise-wide risk-adjusted performance measurement (RAPM/RAROC); product & customer profitability (commercial and retail) systems; line of business and organizational profitability systems; activity-based costing and manufacturing costing models; and capital budgeting, monitoring, and post-implementation reviews.
In addition to holding a Master's degree in Business Administration (Finance) and a Bachelor's degree in Economics (honours), Hakim is a Certified Management Accountant.

Maria M. Del Valle-Torres, Senior Associate
Maria is a Senior Associate with Insight Analytics and offers clients
valuable experience in project management, creating and leading inter-disciplinary
project teams and in completing complex projects on time and on budget.
Maria
brings over 12 years of research, analysis, and business development
expertise to her role as Senior Associate. Her professional career
has evolved from laboratory scientist conducting neurological research
to supervisor of a group of 25 scientists, to her position as manager
of the Health Effects Research Program sponsored by the Environmental
Protection Agency (EPA).
Prior to joining Insight Analytics, Maria was Business Development Manager at ManTech Environmental Technology, Inc. where she supported the national and international business efforts of the company and acted as the liaison between ManTech and the EPA. As a member of ManTechs senior management team, she was heavily involved in the creation of strategic business alliances and in the review of business acquisition plans. Her efforts in developing international marketing strategies and in working with the Inter-American Development Bank on project proposals helped ManTech gain prominence in the biotechnology research arena.
At Insight Analytics, Maria leads business development efforts, manages
the firms strategic alliance program, and assists Insight project
teams on client engagements.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University
of Dayton and completed her Masters work in Physiology with
a concentration in Neurophysiology at North Carolina State University.
Her post-graduate professional training includes: technical proposal
writing, contract pricing, dispute mediation, employee coaching, and
strategic planning.

Trevor MacCrae, Senior Associate
Trevor MacCrae is a Senior Associate with Insight Analytics and offers
clients valuable experience in project implementation, technical writing,
and process mapping.
Trevor brings over 20 years of business development and information technology expertise to his role as Senior Associate. His professional career has evolved from being an entrepreneur within the high vacuum technology space to being a freelance consultant and technical writer in the technology sector to being a project manager.
Prior to joining Insight Analytics, he was a partner in a high-end internet consulting and web design firm. Previously, he was Manager for Special Projects at a regional healthcare facility and successfully lead their JCAHO documentation initiative. At Insight Analytics, Trevor participates in business development efforts, manages the firm's channel partner alliance program, and assists Insight project teams on client engagements.
Trevor received a Bachelor of Information Technology degree, summa cum laude, from American Intercontinental University and is pursuing a Master of Business Administration degree majoring in Strategic Management. His professional training includes: technical writing, cost accounting and technology marketing.

Rohit Singla, Associate
Rohit is an Associate with Insight Analytics and brings to clients
experience in financial analytics, project management, workflow mapping,
and detailed knowledge of financial services and banking.
Rohit
joined Insight Analytics from TD Securities Inc., where he served
as an Profit and Loss Analyst in the International fixed Income Group
conducted detailed excel based analytics on foreign currency portfolios.
Here he worked in developing and testing of new pricing models and
other financial applications.
Prior to joining TD Securities Rohit held a special projects coordinative role with HSBC Securities (Canada) Inc., Legal and Compliance where he successfully administered an effort with the CFO/COO and VP Legal/Compliance for all 22 departments to implement policy and procedure manuals in response to a Group Financial Standards audit.
Rohit holds a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of Toronto where he majored in Finance and Economics. He also has a wide array of computer skills with expertise in applied SQL and Visual Basic, Microsoft Access database and Excel.

Vikas Sodhani, Associate
Vikas is an Associate with Insight Analytics and brings to clients
experience in group facilitation, managerial interviewing, and mathematical
modeling.
Vikas joined Insight Analytics from Global Consultants Inc., where he served as an Account Manager in the Services Division. Here he worked in a team environment to provide clients with high caliber programming resources and related IT services. His professional approach to cultivating and maintaining client relationships lead to increased market share for the firm. His skills in financial analysis and demand forecasting have been assets to Insight project teams of which he has been a member.
Prior to joining Global Consultants, Vikas was a Client Services Representative at investment firm Ryan, Beck & Co., where he assisted senior executives with processing portfolio change requests from clients.
At
Insight, his recent client engagements include staffing optimization
and activity-based unit cost development work within the Call Center
and Electronic Banking operations centers of a regional bank.

Sarika Goel, Associate
Sarika is an Associate with Insight Analytics and offers clients detailed
knowledge and skills in the areas of activity-based costing, data
collection-oriented interviewing, unit time analysis, and capacity
modeling.
Sarika joined Insight Analytics from CIBC Mellon Global Securities, where she most recently was an Assistant Officer, Client Services, in the Foreign Financial Services Division. There she assisted client services officers in dealing with wire transfer and cash sweep issues involving foreign affiliates such as Chase Manhattan Bank and Deutsche Bank.
Prior
to working at CIBC, Sarika completed a German-language financial internship
in the Securities Department of Stadtparkasse Dachau Bank (Munich,
Germany) where she performed a variety of tasks including analyses
for Credit and Treasury services.
At Insight, Sarika's recent client engagements include assisting with the implementation of Oracles profitability software application at Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp., staffing optimization at MBNA America Bank N.A. and National Penn Bank, and activity-based cost development at BankAtlantic Bancorp.
A graduate of the University of Toronto, Sarikal holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree (Economics) and has studied at the Otto Beisheim Graduate School of Management, WHU in Koblenz, Germany.
