Q: What is Insight Analytics? What do you do?
A: Insight Analytics is a management consultancy renowned for its
reality-based approach to improving business profitability, harvesting
costs, and increasing operational effectiveness. Through our proprietary
Structured Metrics® methodology, the firm provides clients with
keen insight into their internal operations - precise information,
grounded in reality that helps clients achieve business improvement
with confidence. Areas of functional expertise include: baseline process
mapping, outsourcing due diligence, organizational performance analysis,
process benchmarking, workforce productivity measurement, product
profitability, performance metrics, reality-based unit costing, resource
planning, ROI validation, and process redesign.
Q: How are you different from other larger and better
known
management consulting firms (i.e. "The Big Five")?
A: We excel at providing senior management of client organizations
fact-based answers to their business issues using our proprietary
Structured Metrics® methodology. It is this scientific and logic-based
people measurement methodology that sets us apart from other consulting
firms claiming to offer similar services. The large firms often use
survey methods or industry averages to calculate determinants such
as capacity utilization or processing cost. These approaches can be
long, intrusive, and yield significantly less accurate results. Our
Structured Metrics® approach is non-intrusive, automated, and
generates highly accurate results. Indeed, we have yet to find another
consulting firm that provides the depth of information that we do.
Q: What is Structured Metrics?
A: Structured Metrics® is an automated process definition and
data collection methodology that generates detailed and precise unit
time and cost data. The Structured Metrics® approach eliminates
the potential for inaccuracies and provides the data that leading
organizations require for accurate capacity and expense analysis.
Taking less time than traditional metrics definition or costing studies,
our Structured Metrics® approach results in more useful, timely,
and fact-based information upon which senior management can make confident
decisions.
Q: How long have you been in business?
A: Though Insight Analytics was established in early 2001, our senior
management team has over 100 years of combined experience in providing
professional services to Fortune 1000 companies.
Q: How large is the firm?
A: We staff client engagements from a core team of 10 consultants
and a virtual team of proven experts called in as required.
Q: Who are your clients?
A: Our growing client list from a variety of industries includes leading
corporations such as: MBNA America, CIBC, Sumitomo Mitsui, GlaxoSmithKline,
National Penn, Merrill Lynch, PEMEX, and Baxter Corp. among others.
Q: What is the duration of typical engagements?
A: While the duration of an engagement very much depends on a client's
needs, typical engagements run between 6-10 weeks - from start to
finish. Rigorous project management, weekly deliverables, and high
data integrity lend an intensity to each week such that engagements
often seem to be at an end only having just begun.
Q: How are engagements managed?
A: Each engagement is staffed with one or more Principals that direct
the project team and ensure that all client deliverables are met within
the project's timeline and scope. Associates are assigned to engagements
as deemed appropriate for the solution being implemented - both in
terms of number and skill set. A team of two Associates and one Principal
is quite common on our engagements.
Q: Do you target a particular industry or function
for your service offerings?
A: While we have a strong showing in banking, our methodology and
tools are equally applicable in virtually all industries that are
services driven - eg. insurance, pharmaceuticals, software, hospitality,
franchised retail. Within these industries, our services are best
applied to infrastructure, support, back-office or administrative
functions such as human resources, finance, accounting, purchasing,
marketing, operations and call centers.
Q: Do you focus in a particular geographic region?
A: Although our primary business development focus is on the east
coast, previous client work has taken us to Canada, Europe, Mexico,
the Caribbean, as well as all across the United States.
Q: Where is your office located? Do you have other
branch offices?
A: Our head office is situated in suburban Philadelphia - Exton, PA
- about 45 minutes from downtown Philadelphia. Other offices are located
in Raleigh, NC and in Toronto, Canada.
