Our Story to Tell

PROGNOZ translates to “Forecasting” in English and as the name implies, the PROGNOZ approach to Business Intelligence begins and ends with analytics and forecasting.

The PROGNOZ story begins in 1987 where a team from Russian Academy of Science's Institute of Economics formed, in order to fulfill forecasting projects for the Ministry of Economy of the Russian Federation. This university project lead to the formation of PROGNOZ in 1991 and the release of the first PROGNOZ Analytical Suite. Today, in 2006 we have offices in the US, China and of course Russia and employ in excess of 300 employees. Further, the PROGNOZ Analytical Suite has evolved into the PROGNOZ 5 Platform for Business Intelligence and Business Performance Management and is currently utilized by thousands of users world-wide.
